§ 6.12.010. Rabies vaccination required when—Certificate required.

  • Every dog over the age of six months which is kept, harbored or maintained by its owner in the city shall be vaccinated at least every twenty-four months against rabies. Vaccination shall be performed only by a doctor qualified to practice veterinary medicine in the state in which the dog is vaccinated. A veterinarian who vaccinates a dog to be kept, harbored or maintained in the city shall prepare or deliver to the owner a certificate of vaccination, in duplicate, setting forth the name and address of the owner, sufficient information to identify the dog vaccinated, the date of the vaccination and the type and lot of vaccine used.
