§ 6.08.050. License—Fee schedule—Penalty fees for late payment.

A.

The fees for dog licenses and tags shall be as follows:

1.

For each male dog $2.50;

2.

For each spayed female dog 2.50;

3.

For each natural female dog 5.00;

4.

For each duplicate dog tag 1.00.

B.

No penalty shall be imposed if the license is obtained within thirty days after July 1st, or within thirty days after the owner comes into ownership or possession of the dog, if he did not have such ownership or possession on July 1st. If the dog license is not purchased within such grace period, the owner shall pay, in addition to the regular license fee, a penalty as follows:

1.

If paid within the first month following the grace period, twenty-five percent;

2.

If paid within the second month following the grace period, fifty percent;

3.

If paid within the third month following the grace period, seventy-five percent;

4.

If paid within the fourth month or any subsequent month following the grace period, one hundred percent.
