§ 2.36.050. Nondiscrimination policies required.

  • The council states as policy that personnel practices within the city shall conform to the provisions of law relating to nondiscrimination in employment. There shall be no discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or handicapped status in access to, treatment or employment in city programs or activities. Department heads are expected to follow this policy in all hiring practices and in filling positions in their departments.
