§ 6.04.030. Impoundment required when-Notice-City marshal duties.

  • It shall be the duty of the city marshal to detain and impound any animal or animals found running at large or being tied, picketed or herded as described in Chapter 6.04, and immediately after the detention and impounding of such animal or animals he shall post notices in three conspicuous places in the city, one of which shall be at the court house; such notices shall contain a description of the animal or animals so detained and impounded, and a statement that the same were detained and impounded under the provisions of this chapter and are in his possession, and that if not claimed within ten days, or if so claimed, if the costs and charges remain unpaid, he will proceed to sell the same to the highest bidder.
