§ 2.12.040. Appointment of deputies and assistants.

The mayor may, subject to confirmation by the city council, appoint such competent persons to serve as deputy and assistant city engineers, to serve at the pleasure of the mayor and city council and to receive such salary as may from time to time be fixed therefor, which shall be paid in the same manner and at the same time as the compensation of other city employees is paid.
