§ 13.12.020. Application—Hearing—Notice publication requirements.

  • Upon filing an application to vacate a street, avenue, alley or any portion thereof, it shall be the duty of the city clerk to forthwith publish in a weekly newspaper of general circulation published in the city a notice that such application has been made to the city council, giving a description of the street, avenue or alley, or such portion thereof, to vacate which application has been made, together with the names of the parties making the application. Such notice shall be signed by the city clerk and shall be published for a period of two successive publications prior to the date of hearing the same, and shall state the hour, day and place of hearing, notifying all persons interested to be present at the hearing and make objections, if any they have, to the allowance of such application.
