§ 10.24.318. Investigation required.

  • Upon receipt of an application seeking "residents only parking" designation, the city clerk shall refer the application to the city engineer in coordination with the chief of police, who shall then research and investigate the application with respect to those city interests set forth in the preamble of this ordinance and report said findings to the city council. The city council may, by resolution, designate the area applied for as residential parking only.

    Upon the adoption of a resolution designating a certain city street or a portion of a city street, the director of public works shall cause the designated area to be marked by signs clearly identifying the city street or portion of city street as being limited to resident parking only.
